Purification Ceremony

The purification ceremony is a personal fire ceremony that involves writing a problem, situation, or a negative trait or habit on a slip of paper.
First, we sit in silence, praying and meditating. When we are ready, we go up to the altar to pray, asking God and the Masters for their special blessings of purification. Finally, we light the paper and let it burn in the special burning bowl, releasing the problem and asking God’s grace in solving it.
Afterwards, we sit and continue to meditate and pray, also spending this silent time praying for others as they participate in the purification process.
When we have visiting Ananda Light Bearers, we first go up and sit or kneel before them to pray together and be blessed, before going to the altar.
Our purification and meditation take place between 10:00 and 10:30 every Sunday before Sunday Service. All are welcome to join us!
You may enter or leave quietly at any time during the purification ceremony.
